| What
Does Your Membership in Mountain
Bluebird Trails Provide?
Mountain Bluebird Trails, Inc. was organized to
foster the preservation of bluebirds and other cavity nesting
birds through education, nest box programs and research.
Your membership fees provide us with the funds necessary to:
§ Publish
our quarterly newsletter for members.
§ Create
a guide to establishing and maintaining a trail of nest boxes.
§ Continue
our nest box building projects.
As a member, you will have access to the names of
other bluebirders in your area that you can share ideas, information
and experiences with. You will also have access to the nest
boxes we build so you can establish a trail of your own.
Bluebirders are dedicated to making our world a
better place to live. Every monitor gets to share the thrill
of seeing young birds fledge that , otherwise, had no chance of
life without the monitor's assistance.
You support for restoring the bluebirds is appreciated
regardless of whether you wish to establish a nest box trail or
not.
Please consider joining us in our efforts to preserve
these beautiful birds.

Monitoring
a Bluebird Trail is exciting and Rewarding
Many
individuals find great enjoyment in being part of the activity
dealing with bluebirds. Mountain Bluebird Trails hopes you
will take part in this exciting activity. It is a chance
to learn about the bluebirds' life cycle by establishing a trail
of nest boxes. Observing the birds as they establish their
nest box home, the laying of the eggs and the raising of the young
is a very special treat.
Once the trail is
established, one needs to monitor it about once a week to gather
the data necessary for reporting at the end of the season.
Regional Coordinators of Mountain Bluebird Trails are available
to assist you in learning about the care and monitoring of the
nest boxes on your trail. |
